Justin Jenkins
MA, LPCC
My wish is for you to gradually feel more in touch with what you deeply care about, feel more at ease and secure in yourself, feel more present in your life, and build your capacity to meet challenges with courage, humor and resilience.
The therapy models I may bring into our work together include Humanistic Psychology, Attachment Theory, Gestalt, Buddhist Psychology, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I sometimes invite meditation, breathing or movement exercises for grounding, relaxation and integration. To work on certain issues of trauma, emotional blockages or dilemmas, I may suggest the Brainspotting technique, a very simple and powerful method that directly works with the deep brain and body using eye gaze and mindful feeling.
