Kirsten Wendth

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW

Kirsten approaches her work with clients from a place of empathy, and without judgement. She believes that every individual deserves to live a life that feels authentic and aligns with one’s value system. Because every client’s needs and goals are unique, Kirsten utilizes a generalist approach in her clinical work. She draws on multiple theoretical frameworks to customize the client experience. These therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative techniques. Kirsten values a collaborative process in therapy. She works with individuals to discover how their current ways may promote and hinder their path to a more fulfilling life. Kirsten curiously explores clients’ past experience and strengths to help lay the groundwork for a preferred future. She believes that every client is the expert on their own life, and that each individual possesses the necessary tools to heal and grow. She works with clients to amplify these strengths to increase their accessibility and heighten one’s sense of resiliency through life's journey.

Kirsten works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. She specializes in treating those with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, health-related issues, relationship issues, parenting issues, and life transitions. She also has special interest in working with athletes, and former athletes.
