Dante Valvo

My name is Dante Valvo, LCSW, MFT, and I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing in Colorado since 2018. I graduated from University of Denver with a master’s in social work, Denver Family Institute with a certificate in marriage and family therapy, and a B.A. from Kenyon College in sociology. I have extensive experience working with a diverse clientele in individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis/triage evaluations. Additionally, I was a clinical supervisor for many years, supporting new clinicians in the field.
My chosen modality is primarily Psychodynamic; however, I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, and Emotionally Focused therapy. My approach is founded on compassion, humor, and a commitment to a strong therapeutic relationship. I aim to help clients find clarity, purpose, and resilience through both short-term interventions as well as long-term process.
